A new hearing protector rating: The Noise Reduction Statistic (NRS_A) [Report to U.S. EPA]

In 2003 the U. S. EPA announced their intention to revise the hearing protector labeling regulation. It now appears that by the end of 2004 a propose new rule will be issued and open for public comment. As part of the process the EPA requested a report from ANSI S12/WG11, chaired by Elliott Berger, on recommendations for new hearing protector ratings. It is now available for download.
